Para a concepção das séries de pinturas PAULOROID (série branca e série cinza metro), sirvo-me como base das MINI-PAULOROID, compondo e inspirando novas imagens trazidas desse passado para este momento presente, voltando a dar novamente vida e comunicar outro sentido de interacção como objecto/imagem. Acrescentando um tratamento, e concepcionando um resultado, como se estas pinturas roubassem lugar às das MINI-PAULOROID, passando a ter um carácter de pinturas instantâneas em tela de grande formato. Permitindo-me, recriar e contemplar um código novo às minhas pinturas, dando-me assim grande margem de manobra, para poder explorar toda a liberdade pictural e experimental, criando e gozando, instantaneamente com imagens



O conceito PAULOROID, parte de um jogo onde crio uma dialéctica com o nome da marca das fotografias instantâneas Polaroid, e o meu próprio nome Paulo, para Pauloroid. Tanto nas MINI-PAULOROID, como nas pinturas PAULOROID, mantenho as proporções morfológicas da imagem e configuração do campo visual, as das fotografias Polaroid.

I serve myself, as base, my MINI-PAULOROID, for the conception of these painting, Pauloroid (white series and grey series meter), composing and inspiring new images brought from this past, to present, bring back again a new life and communicating another direction of interaction as object/image. Adding, a treatment and concept, resulting as if these paintings, were stealing a place, from the mini Pauloroid, starting to have a character, of instantaneous paintings of a bigger format. Allowing me, to recreate and contemplate a new code to my paintings, being given to me thus great edge of manoeuvre and being able to explore, all the pictorial and experimental freedom, creating and enjoying, instantaneously new images.

The concept of PAULOROID starts from a game where I create dialectic, with my proper name, Paulo, and the brand name of the instantaneous photographs, Polaroid, to PAULOROID. As much as in MINI-PAULOROID, as PAULOROID paintings, I keep the morphologic ratios and configuration from the visual field image, of the photographs Polaroid.
